Nihonmachi Street Fair presents “Our Community Our Pride” to kick-off Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month on Sat, 4/29. 12N - 4 pm. Join us at the Peace Plaza! On May 3, 5:30 pm, the APA Heritage Foundation is hosting the APA Heritage Awards & Reception at the Herbst Theatre, 401 Van Ness. Among the honorees is the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Japantown celebrates kids! Organized by the Japanese Cultural & Community Center of Northern California in partnership with many festival sponsors and supporters, Kodomo No Hi/Children’s Day Festival will be held Sat, 5/6, 11 am - 4 pm, at the Peace Plaza.
